Camping at Foressa Mountain Town & Lazada Camping Equipment Haul

Camping in the great outdoors was something Paolo & I had being discussing for quite some time now. Late last year, we, along with a bunch of camping avid friends were finally able to experience a short but sweet camping trip at Dwight’s peak which I featured here and we were immediately HOOKED.

Looking back on the video and the post itself, I realize that I was too drunk to even have the decency to share our experience or yet alone provide any useful bits of information in the entry so consider this as my way of making up for it. snicker, snicker.

It was during that camping trip where we learned that camping outdoors is more than just having a tent and bag- we had to equip ourselves to survive sleeping in the wilderness, preparing and cooking meals and the like. Without being willing to spend so much on camping gear, we turned to Lazada (not an ad) and though we had a million doubts about whether or not the quality would be good, we still had high hopes and was eventually able to put them to the test during our 2nd camping experience.

What we bought:

Naturehike Ultra Tent comes with foot print, tent, fly & pegs

Decathlon sleeping tent

Inflatable pillow

FFY Mini headlamp

Portable light

Camping stove

Camping cookware

Folding stool

Retractable cup

Portable tableware

Of all the items that we got, the only things I regret buying at the portable tableware sets and the retractable folding cups not because they aren’t useful but because I feel like if I made a trip to Daiso or any P99.00 store, we could have gotten it a lot cheaper. If you want to find out more about what I think about the items I got, make sure to check out my vlog above.

For our second camping trip, Paolo & I were hoping to find a place we could camp at that wasn’t too much of a safety hazard. With it being our first camp without any friends, we couldn’t take any chances. Much to my delight, Paolo was able to discover Foressa Trails , which is a development under Aboitizland which offers hiking, biking & camping options to outdoor enthusiasts. With various activities to choose from, we were mostly excited that they had bathrooms, showers and a washing area aside from security. Not that we’re prudes or anything but these amenities make it easier to introduce our friends and families to camping without overwhelming them too much.

Here are some photos of the area and the rates, should you need them!

Hope you enjoyed this and that it inspires you to explore the great outdoors!

Be responsible campers.

xx,
Issa P. soon to be G.
