Halloween is just around the corner and if you’re not already prepared for it, that most likely means that you’ll be running around on Hallow’s eve itself frantically trying to figure out what to wear. Fret not, I, potentially the laziest person (when I want to be) have come up with a few simple, creative and borderline generic Halloween costumes for you to use this year.
Truth be told, I’ve been racking my brain with what to create this year and I would’ve wanted it to be more “pop culture” specific including your favorite Snapchat filters, trends and loved characters but… life happened. I got busy, tired and eventually lazy to prepare for this post so this one will have to do. I’m sure all my 20 something young professional readers can understand. #priorities
Having said all of this, I’m semi-proud & semi- ashamed to admit that I will not be celebrating Halloween this year because I’ve decided to just chill out and enjoy turning 26. But if I had decided to go out, you would’ve caught me in a mermaid piece to match my hair. If you have blue hair like I do, you’re welcome for the idea!
Moving on, here are my extremely easy, last minute Halloween costume ideas! ENJOY!
Pajama Baby.
Okaaay, I don’t actually know what a pajama baby is… I just needed to call this look something. But name games aside, when are you ever going to have a good excuse to leave the house in your favorite pair of pajamas? Never. Take advantage of it and dress up in your favorite nighties!
Princess.
If you’ve got a fancy dress lying around, it’s time to take it out; throw on a fake tiara; over accessorize and call yourself a princess. This costume is best worn with a handsome prince or a reliable butler. Personally, I prefer the latter.
The Gypsy.
Gypsy, Hippie, any excuse to wear your loosest pieces of clothing + fringe…
This look plus some metallic gold temporary tattoos will make you look like you just popped out of #coachella. Find the sun, young one. Or whatever it is you kids say these days. I never know.
The Fashion Blogger (or should I say, BLAGGEERRRR)
Nuff said.
An alternative to this is to wear as many trends as you can, all at the same time, obnoxiously ask people to take your picture and flat lay as many things as you can for that comedic value.
Do I act like this on a normal basis? I don’t know… you tell me.
I BEAT MY OWN PERSONAL DEADLINE. I AM SO PROUD OF MYSELF.
Bye,
Issa P.
p.s. Please tag me on instagram (@issaplease) should you use any of these. I would love to see your version of these looks <3
My day isn’t over just yet but I am so soo grateful that today is a Tuesday and I get to be as creative as I want to be which includes blogging/ vlogging and doing a bunch of other stuff.
And I saw a photo of my baby Cheetos. Thank you, Jesus!
Cebuano dog lovers rejoice- the first ever dog cafe in Cebu, Lovey Doggy Cafe, is finally open! Located at the GQS Plaza (in between UC Banilad & Petron Gas Station), you can now spend the afternoon cuddling with extremely cute and friendly furry friends of different shapes and sizes.
For P100.00/ person, customers can spend a maximum of 1 hour inside the Playpen where you can also bring your four legged buddies inside- given that you can provide their updated vet cards. This small and reasonable fee, plus a minimum food/ drink purchase of P100.00/customer also allows you to lounge around their second floor which is cutely designed after outdoor parks except, with indoor ventilation. Yess.
Once inside the playpen, customers can play and feed these friendly babies with the available doggy treats that are sold for only P10.00. I highly suggest that you invest in a couple of packs to catch their attention otherwise, you’ll end up chasing them and relying on your distraction skills to actually catch their attention (like what we had to do!).
There are a few rules that should strictly be practiced upon entering the playpen such as: no flash photography, no picking up & walking with the dogs, no feeding of human food and etc. These are to ensure the safety of the dogs and of the customers so that everyone can have a good time. I highly encourage everyone who plans to make a visit to the cafe to take the time to read these rules because dogs can be as playful or as vicious as you make them so it’s always good to be safe and to treat them with the utmost care and respect.
A few breeds that inhabit Lovey Doggy are: a Corgi, a couple of Pugs, a French Bulldog, a Siberian Husky, a Poodle, a Beagle, a Pomeranian and a Chow-chow. They’re all friendly and bursting with energy but should be left alone during their “down” times- they eventually get tired from all the eating and playing, yo
As far as interior goes, the second floor which is purely devoted to lounging and enjoying their food selections is beautifully decorated and perfectly maintains the whole “dog park” theme. With striped couches, comfortable lounge chairs and fake grass carpeting the floors, even your own pets will feel right at home with you as you wait for your turn at the playpen or relax after having spent some time playing.
I would definitely spend the day here with friends, kids and family!

Yesterday the bestEST thing in the world happened to me while I was at a shoot- a couple of girls walked up to me asking if I was issaplease.
Thaaaaat’s meeeeee!
Turns out they were readers of issaplease and they had recognized me because of my blue hair.
To be recognized was never something I had wished for when I started blogging but it feels pretty damn amazing that that actually happened. I’m still pinching myself, wondering if someone paid them to pull my leg and over the moon in ecstasy. It actually happened!
Everything is/ was worth it, after all. i cry.
A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE ….
Enough money within her control to move out…
And rent a place of her own
even if she never wants to
or needs to…
Something perfect to wear if the employer
or date of her dreams wants to See Her in an hour…
A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE …
A youth she’s content to leave behind….
A past juicy enough that she’s looking forward to
retelling it in her Old Age….
A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE .
A set of screwdrivers,
a cordless drill, and a black lace bra…
One friend who always makes her laugh…
And one Who lets her cry…
A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE ….
A good piece of furniture not previously owned
by anyone else in her Family…
Eight matching plates,
wine glasses with stems,
And a recipe for a meal that will make
her guests feel Honored…
A feeling of control over her destiny…
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW…
How to fall in love without losing herself..
HOW TO QUIT A JOB,
BREAK UP WITH A LOVER,
AND CONFRONT A FRIEND WITHOUT
RUINING THE FRIENDSHIP…
When to try harder…
And WHEN TO WALK AWAY…
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW…
That she can’t change the length of her calves,
The width of her hips,
or the nature of her parents..
That her childhood may not have been perfect…
But it’s over…
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW…
What she would and wouldn’t do for love or more…
How to live alone…
Even if she doesn’t like it…
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW…
Whom she can trust,
Whom she can’t,
And why she shouldn’t take it personally…
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW…
Where to go…
Be it to her best friend’s kitchen table…
Or a charming inn in the woods…
When her soul needs soothing…
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW…
What she can and can’t accomplish in a day…
A month…
And a year…

I’ve always been quite honest with my readers on this blog which is why I shamelessly admit that I am not a fan of Ramen. It’s pretty lame considering half the population of the world absolutely LOVES it but to be honest, I think it’s just meh.
I partly think that my lack of appreciation comes from the fact that 1. I don’t like soup/ broth and 2. I don’t know anything about Ramen. The second reason may not deem true to most of you but I find food more interesting when I know a little bit more about it, it’s history and it’s “claim to fame”.
A couple of months ago (you can tell by the color of my hair…), I was invited to attend a short class about ramen at the Barikata Ramen Bar and as hesitant as I was, I went anyways. I’m glad that I did though, despite my complete ignorance on the topic because I got to learn so much (which I will discuss below) and I got to eat a lot of noodles. lol. And although I might not be crazy Ramen ’til this day, I definitely have a new respect for it.
So here are 3 things I learned about ramen:
2. There are 4 types of broth: Shio (salt), Tonkotsu (pork bone), Shoyu (soy sauce) & Miso (miso and fish broth)
3. Tonkotsu broth, which is what is served at Barikata, comes from boiling pork bones, fat and collagen over high heat for many hours. This process suffuses the broth with a hearty pork flavor and a creamy consistency.
SHIRO (original tonkotsu ramen) – P 335.00
KURO (black roasted ground garlic and sesame oil) – P 355.00
AKA (hot and spicy ground pork and chili oil) – P 355.00
Sampler Bento Box
Barikata Ramen Bar is located at the Calyx Building of IT Park, Cebu City with operating hours everyday from 11:30AM–1:30PM & 5:30–10:30PM.

I’m going to start investing on poetry-
Lang Leav, Tyler Knott Gregson, Christopher Poindexter and Leav’s horny boyfriend whom I can never remember
And one day, I will have my own book about all my heartbreaks, happiness and in betweens.
But I never have in betweens. Lol. Or do i?
Did a shoot for an arcade, it was obviously fun despite the fact that I might be a little too old to be hanging out at an arcade to begin with. Figured I would have some fun with my awkward and candid photos…
Why? Because I make fun of myself waaaay too much, the world might as well hear it.
Kinsa maning mga KPop-a oi? Wa man ko’y nailhan ani. Pwede “asereje” nalang?
Smile2 kuno pero kamatyunon na diay toh. Ang pamaol ugma, dzai. Atimana.
hahahahhahahaha akong mattress
That’s it, I give up. I’m too old for this shit.
I don’t actually know you but I’m going to cheer for you as if I really cared. GOOOO….. Kevin?
I’m pretty sure I’m the only one with a license here… Also, where are the seat belts on this thing? SAFETY FIRST! (while sanitizing stirring wheel) #titaproblems
Hahahahaha panguli namo kay klase pa mo ugma.
Nganu grabeh man kaayo ka maka ikid2x, dai? Di na siya sakto ha! MAMATAY KO SA IMONG TWERK2X, DAI!!
p.s. I swear I didn’t do anything to her in this picture!
Leeerd, tabang. Sakit na kaayo akong bat.ang!!
Kung mu pili gani ka kanang practical ha? Don’t choose something that you won’t use over and over again. If it helps you learn, the better. What good is it if it’s fun but it doesn’t teach you anything? (while wiping spit on baby brother’s side bang para mu pilit)
I will be giving away a bunch of prepaid cards on www.issaplease.com. If you came here to be informed, you’re at the wrong blog- I purely entertain on this one.
bye!
What makes a good nail lounge?
Is it the ambiance, a good selection of reasonably priced services, a selection of products you can take home with you, clean utilities and well trained handlers? To me, it’s all these things that I have always sought after from Beauty & Butter.
Beauty and Butter has actually been in Cebu for a quite a while with their pioneering branch located at SM City Cebu. Their brightly plastered yellow walls are impossible to miss and even if you haven’t been in it, I’m sure you know what I’m talking about!
On the other hand, their second branch which is located at the Terraces of Ayala Center Cebu, is a lot more subdued and sophisticated- perfect for the tita in all of us. With neutral interiors and fixtures, it’s easy to unwind and enjoy some well deserved “me time” that we all need and enjoy. Their cocoon inspired couches, which is my favorite feature, allowed me to sink into it and doze off to the sounds of light chatter and faint music and wake up with posh hands and feet!
My favorite buttercup, Nina
With new ventures comes new surprises and this surprised comes with fresh pages, a nice leather jacket and freebies galore!
For more inquiries about their products & services, check out Beauty & Butter’s Nail Lounge at the Terraces of Ayala Center Cebu (near the chapel & Flawless).
