Pleated Pants & Pastel Pinks

The quality of these photos are absolutely horrendous but since I no longer have these pieces in my closet (I have my sister to thank for that!), I figured I would probably forget to ever wear them again for another shoot so… here you go! Here are some bad photos I took at my mother and brother’s birthday dinner along with a sentimental photo which I just really like to put out into the world because #familyiseverything! I realized I’ve never really told you anything about my family but then again… you probably read about it all the time on my “other” blog. lol.

Our little fam bam – 1 cousin and 1 father. We are extremely small and I have no relatives who are my age which should explain why I am extremely awkward, I act like I’m 40 or 12 (no in betweens) and why I like to exude dominance among most people. HAHAHA. Yes, I’ve actually thought about it.

What’s your family like?

Urban Lifestyle Open At Vibo Place & Why You Should Check Them Out!

There’s been an influx of concept stores popping up here and there all over the city of Cebu which is a great way for Cebuano’s to show their love for the local industry. Whether it be a food market for local home chefs or a retail shop for local sellers to display their products- I’m always in to support this great movement! Despite the many international brands coming into the city, which are great in their own sense, I still think it is important to support ang sariling atin and what better way than to not just buy local indigenous products but to also support local businessmen and women, as well.

Urban Lifestyle is the newest concept store to open in the city and is located on the second floor of Axis Entertainment Avenue at Vibo Place. They cater a lot of local brands, carefully curated and placed to fulfill each and every customers cravings.

Here are a few other reasons why you should check them out:

  1. You’ll be supporting local
I cannot say this enough but I really do believe that Cebuano’s should support each other whether it be in their craft, their business ventures or even hobbies. If we shop at expensive international brands, why can’t we shop at equally good local brands at less the price? #supportlocal

2. They’ve got a wide array of items to choose from for MEN & WOMEN
Shopping is as much for men as it is for women and Urban Lifestyle has made sure to provide their male and female customers with a wide variety to choose from whether it be casual wear, accessories, beach outfits or even thingamajigs for your personal spaces. I personally love all the brands they currently carry at the store and would swear by the quality in goods and also designs of these brands.

3. They’ve got an awesome backdrop for your ootd’s
In a time where Instagram is life, Urban Lifestyle has made sure to fulfill every millennials incessant need to take a good photo with an ass kicking backdrop to match.  Not only are their items good but so is their urban (duh) interiors which is totally #awesome. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t take advantage of the backdrop because… I did.

4. It’s a great place to hang out with your family/ friends.
Urban Lifestyle is a great place to visit to shop and when you’re done, it’s also a great place to hang out as especially because of all the other great things you can do around the area. If you’re hoping to grab a quick meal, some good coffee or a fun activity, there’s always something fun to do there.

Congratulations, Urban Lifestyle! <3

ISSAPLEASE X SPROCKETS WORKSHOP COLLABORATIONS

I always knew I had a knack for public speaking ever since I was a child as I’ve always felt the most comfortable whenever  I had to speak to a sea of people. Whether if it was a public debate, a campaign speech, declarations, orations, presentations or discussions, my mouth has always been my best and worst friend. When I started blogging and vlogging, I had only dreamed of being able speak about my passions in writing, fashion, business and creating content online. There are soo many other bloggers and vloggers out there who have more achievements and knowledge than I do and yet, my career online and offline have been so blessed to be given opportunities like this. #baketlist

For the month of July, I was able to give 2 workshops together with Sprockets Coffee + Milk Tea Cafe on the topics: Blogging/ Vlogging 101 & Social Media for Business. Yes, we weren’t so creative with the titles but I tried to make up for the lackluster through powerful and informative content. I hope my attendees would agree!

The turnout was amazing, even when I wasn’t able to send out personal invites til the night before due to my busy schedule! Through the workshop,  I was able to expand my network, share my knowledge and more importantly, make new friends.

I cannot wait to give a second run as many of you have asked me for it but I’ll have to give it a few months as I’m currently working on a few other projects. I do have a couple more workshops scheduled outside of Cebu which I will be announcing soon enough but til then, make sure to follow me on my social media accounts to keep updated! 🙂

I would also like the thank Myka Sarchez for filming parts of the event and for posting it on her youtube channel! I wasn’t able to film it because of everything that was going on but this surely means a lot to me <3

Make sure to subscribe to her channel, guys!

Til the next one,

Radisson Blu Offers Japanese Cuisine at SushiSake

Radisson Blu has always been Cebu’s premiere spot when it comes to exceptional dining, facilities and top of the line treatment. Urban Table and Feria, which are Radisson Blu’s headlining restaurants both offer delectable international cuisine with a great view to pair.

In addition to this, Radisson Blu is raising the bar yet again by expanding their food selections through their newest restaurant, Sushi Sake which is poshly situated at the lobby-side which offers a great view of the hotel front and allows them access to their lounge area. Although it is located among open spaces, this 21 seater area offers guests an intimate environment perfect for those who enjoy having a small space of their own.

With a variety of Japanese favorites to choose from (scroll down for menu), the highlight of Sushi Sake would definitely have to be their choices of maki which were carefully curated by Sushi Sake’s head chef, Chef Jefferson “Jeff” Yalung. During my visit there, I was able to sample 6 of best offerings which were the Dynamite Sushi Roll, the Surf & Turf Roll, the Dragon Roll, the Spicy Salmon Roll, The Spicy Crab Roll and the Special California Roll.

Each handmade roll was a burst of individual and distinct flavors making each and every pop an experience of its own. You could tell just by the looks of it that each ingredient used was of top quality and preparation which can always be expected from Radisson Blu hotels.

Cebu Fashion Bloggers 8th Anniversary Dinner Photo Diary

I started blogging about fashion about 5-6 years ago- it was an unsure time when people didn’t even know what blogging was and having a group wasn’t especially a part of the norm. I fondly remember the day when I was scrolling Google search engines typing Cebu fashion bloggers/ Fashion bloggers in Cebu/ blogging groups about fashion in Cebu and the like when I miraculously chanced upon a group of fashion bloggers located in the city. It’s no surprise that it was among this group that I actually found my place even after being affiliated with other blogging groups. Being a part of the Cebu Fashion Bloggers turned my life and blogging career around for nothing but the best and a couple of days ago, we gathered together to celebrate such a wonderful union!

I can’t remember when I exactly became a part of the family but I remember the feeling- it was nothing short of amazing! It was back when studs, mesh and Jeffrey Campbell heels were in season and the words minimalist and fashion would never be caught dead in the same sentence. I was suddenly submerged around like-minded people who had fashion as a common denominator and compassion, passion and camaraderie as extraordinary add on’s. It was a simpler time back then and though the times and styles have changed, many years later- the love is still the same.

In this group, I’d be a hypocrite if I said I haven’t made my set of mistakes- I’ve lost my identity, I’ve sided with the wrong team, I had my misconceptions and as unguarded and unfiltered as I am, I’ve definitely pissed off a lot of people. That’s just who I am and luckily, I never found myself alone and afraid. My Cebu Fashion Bloggers family has always had my back and has guided me throughout the ups and downs of my career. They’ve helped me find myself, explore my options and helped me break down my walls that I so strongly build and for that, I am and forever will be grateful.

Many of you will notice that our family is small but we are one- we love each other, look out for one another and we try our best to help each other grow. There is no competition among us in fact, we are the first to help each other achieve a look, a vlog, an entry or project that one cannot simply achieve alone. We support each other, give each other insight and we like to spend endless of hours laughing and making joke on FB messenger! HAHA. Yes, we are small and that’s not to say that it’s the best group out there but it is definitely the best one for me.

On our 8th year in the industry, after having conquered our own set of accomplishments, failures, nuisances and what have you- we emerge better than ever. We’ve got so much to look forward to and we cannot wait to show you guys what we’ve got!

Thank you to everyone who’s supported us throughout the years. There are not enough words to express our unfathomable gratitude.

More power to all <3

Wacoal Opens Their First Boutique At SM Seaside, Cebu

Wacoal, a brand of premium intimate wear which was previously only available in department stores, has finally opened their first boutique in Cebu. Located at the Upper Ground Floor, City View of Cebu’s and the Philippines’ largest mall, SM Seaside, Wacoal not only offers exclusive designs but also exclusive discounts and offerings, as well.

I’ve always been one to believe in investing in the right undergarments whether it be panties, bras, body shapers and the like. In my perspective, if you spend on clothes that fit you well, shouldn’t the same practices be applied when it comes to the foundations of your outfit- your underwear? That’s exactly why I only invest in quality underwear! Think about it, you don’t need a million bras/ panties AND you can wear them for years at a time.

Studies show that 64% of women wear the wrong sized bra which can not only be unflattering to your body but also detrimental to your health. Wearing the wrong bra that isn’t the perfect fit can actually cause headaches, they can stretch your boobs out, back pain, unwanted bulges, indigestion and other harmful side effects. That is why Wacoal makes an extra  effort to make sure that all their customers walk out with underwear of the Perfect Fit down to the cup size, strap and especially the coverage.

My favorite part? They carry bras for breast cancer survivors at cost and they even donate to charity foundations who support the same cause.

Here’s a quick look at their showcase:

Another thing that I greatly appreciate about Wacoal’s pioneering boutique in Cebu is the spacious dressing room that they offer to their customers. It has enough room for you to not only fit your garments but also move around and even have a private adviser come in and assess your situation and guide you in choosing the right underwear. It’s a value added service that isn’t usually found anywhere else which is exactly why I only choose the best for my best friends!

Can I get an AMEN?

Wearing Swim Wear As Casual Wear ft. Wacoal

In a previous workshop I gave with young teenage girls, I vowed to never wear this piece ever again simply because of the fact that I don’t like bringing that kind of attention to my “boobular” area. It’s not a word, I know but it’s fun to say so I’ll say it anyways. As a one piece bathing suit, I absolutely die from the stress of a possible mishap but as outer wear, it’s really not bad.

Am I comfortable in my skin? Not all the time, no but there are definitely some trends that I want to try out just for the sake of being adventurous. Luckily, I don’t have worry about unwanted  spillage in this skin tone bandeau bra that I got from Wacoal.

There are a lot of reasons why every woman should own a bandeau bra whether it be in black or nude but for this post, let’s focus on the obvious- it keeps everything in place with the subtly to help you pull off any outfit. Yes ladies, you CAN wear a skin bearing outfit without revealing too much!

I already own two shades of this bra style and I use it all the time especially when I want to avoid creases on fabrics that are often brought about by lacy materials or triangle bras and since none of my shirts call for neither bras, you can count on the fact that I overuse my bandeau’s. TMI? No! There’s never a good time to talk about our body’s and the right kind of under wear.

[VLOG] How To Style Velvet

Truth be told, I never knew I would love velvet so much til I put it on my body. 😛

Also, I’m really starting to enjoy these styling videos especially when I have the help of brands like Emporium to help out with the clothes selection.

There’s a certain challenge to creating videos like these especially when you don’t necessarily have the $$$ to collate all the looks you want in just one go so I find that partnering with brands that I trust is my best option.

What should I style next?

MESH?
