FINALLY a subscription box from the Philippines’ has arrived!!!
Saladbox/ GILTBOX is a monthly subscription of surprises for both men and women – each month, for a minimum fee, each member receives a mystery box filled to the brim in samplers and goodies from different companies. This is a great investment if you’re someone who would like to try new things but doesn’t exactly know what to try or does not want to spend a lot of money on something they might not end up liking.
Each month, GILTBOX partners up with a brand to bring their subscribers awesome items related to make up, hair care, beauty and wellness.
For the month of JULY, they partnered up with Vitress and Koloursto curate a box specifically targeting our hair. If you’re anything like me, bleaching, dying, straightening and curling is a regular part of your routine- for the month of July, SALADBOX/ GILTBOX encourages ladies to focus on protecting our lovely locks through this awesome care package.
Find out more about the items I got, what I think about them and WHAT REALLY happened to my hair in my video above…
Been playing around with make up, videos, Sony Vegas & just everything that I can get my little eager hands on.
I’m quite proud of this video, quality wise, despite the fact that I got too lazy towards the end to make a decent voice over. But when it all comes down to it, I feel like it kind of worked! I mean, how else am I supposed to show you guys my polar opposites?
Anyways, today is the day we bury my grandpa and we pick up & install our new A.C. unit. I hope you all have a great weekend!
It’s been a long, crazy, sometimes lazy, sometimes painful month or so and I feel like I needed to disconnect myself in order to come back bigger and better. Sorry for that short hiatus.
My life has changed so much lately and I’ve been making some pretty big adjustments including moving to a bigger place, setting new career goals and setting new challenges for myself and for the people around me. I have learned that it is important to keep ourselves constantly excited and always looking forward to something instead of just going with the flow and seeing where life takes us. I have learned that the biggest sacrifices often yield the biggest and most unexpected blessings and above all, that life goes on.
Having said all of this, which by the way is totally unrelated to this blog post, I have realized that when life gets hard (like it always does), we all just need to learn how to stop and smell the flowers. Sometimes the answers to the questions we are looking for are in the most simple things, we just haven’t seen them yet. That’s OK though, we eventually do. I eventually did.
Thought I would do a make up haul since I had just refreshed on some supplies. I’m not make up crazy nor do I know a whole bunch about make up but I thought it would be interesting to show you guys this and to tell you about my favorite place to get my Korean make up from Dara Beauty Market!
Being a fashion blogger, it’s important that I’m not only “on fleek” with my outfits but with my make up as well. I always try to stay on top of my make up game by trying out different products and watching tons and tooons of make up tutorials but honestly, nothing beats the real thing.
This August 23, 2015 (Sunday) at Cafe Laguna, Ayala Center Cebu from 1:00- 5:00 PM, get the chance to sit down and get trained by B Delgado (@itsbdelgado) and Eunice Enrera (@euniceenrera_mua), both very skilled make up professionals from different parts of the world.
A few days ago, I was able to meet Eunice where she did my make up for commercial we were shooting. We were totally on the same level on things so I’m pretty sure this event is going to be fun and educational… but mostly fun. 😉
Here are some of the photos of the make up she did:
I’m so excited to hang out, meet new friends and learn a bunch of new make up techniques! What I’m looking forward to the most is learning how to contour properly (God knows I need to learn THAT) and strobing. Honestly, I don’t know much about it other than it’s supposed to involve playing with light so I’m super excited to find out more about it!
