[VLOG] Behind The Scenes with G Shock & Shockwear Watches @ The Outlets at Pueblo Verde

https://youtu.be/DAksqGQIDKM

G Shock and Baby G watches have been in my blood ever since I was a little girl. I fondly remember their 90’s designs and using the detachable rubber stoppers as “braces” because 1. I thought it was cool and because 2. I was a pretty gross kid. HAHA. (please tell me I wasn’t the only one who did this, please!)

So when I was asked to be the ambassador for G- Shock from their official distributors, Shockwear, you could only imagine my utmost delight.

Here is a short BTS vlog from the wonderful day I spent checking out and shooting with the brand. Stay tuned (subscribe, bookmark, follow) for the final photos which I will be releasing on the blog soon.

A special thanks to the Pixie Dust Creations team for always taking care of me and for always keeping me in mind.

Check out Shockwear at the Outlets at Pueblo Verde for authentic and affordable G Shock apparel.

What time is it?

Outdoor Shopping @ The Outlets at Pueblo Verde

untitled-29

Yes, I am still wearing this romper (and this skirt) and yes, I am still as in love with them as I was the first moment I laid eyes on them. I guess there are just some things that do that to you- you know, make you want to love them until you cannot love them any more.

Just showing everyone the many possibilities that are possible with rompers in case you’ve been iffy about actually buying one of your own. I had just come from the beach before dropping by The Outlets at Pueblo Verde and the combination of my silhouette skirt and floppy hat made shopping outside breathable and protected at the same time.

If you’re wondering where I had my outfit photos taken, this was done at The Outlets at Pueblo Verde. Check out my review about this awesome place here.

The Outlets At Pueblo Verde, Mactan

DSC_1799

I recently paid a visit to The Outlets at Pueblo Verde, an establishment in MEZ II, Basak Lapu-Lapu. The Outlets are best known for their international brands that are available at lower prices. A few of the brands that they cater are: Timberland, Planet Sports, Converse, Puma, Oakley, Nike, Levis, Giordano, Fashion Rack Designer Outlet and many more!

During my short visit there, I was able to get the whole shopping experience and I have to say, that it was well worth the trip. I personally enjoyed their selection wide of sports wear and accessories. Even if I haven’t exactly started working out again, I do have the tendency to hoard on sneakers and spandex so if you’re anything like me, you are bound to enjoy The Outlets as much as I did!

And not only is The Outlets full of great retail shops to choose from but there are also a good number of food stalls located around the area. So you can enjoy your shopping and snack on amazing food right after. Also, if you’re hoping to do the groceries, there’s also a Savemore shopping center located there as well.

Make sure to follow The Outlets at Pueblo Verde on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to get updates on their latest promotions and sales.

Check out my blog tomorrow for what I wore on this fun trip!

Sundays Are For Ladies

Growing up I would often hear my mom tell us to look our Sundays’ best during the Sabbath.  Of course, I try my best to look my best everyday but Sunday dressing is always a little bit more thought of and special. For this particular Sunday look, I was unable to go to church but I made sure to it that I looked my best for Cebu In The Bags’ last day- even if it meant looking as girly as ever!

On most days, I really have a hard time incorporating girlier pieces into my wardrobe but this top from Let’s Stylize fit so well that any prohibitions I had about my experimental look quickly went away!

Ladies, It’s not a crime to want to try new things especially when it comes to fashion. People tell me all the time that if I want to establish myself in this industry I should “distinguish my style” but you know what, I’d rather be myself (crazy and unpredictable) rather than boring. I am not going to be defined by fashion nor will I be identified for singular style, I’m going to be one of the few who defines it and is unapologetic about what I want to wear and when I want to wear it. So here’s my advice to the tomboys who wanna dress sexier or to the girly girls who wanna look edgier and fierce: DO IT! If it doesn’t work out the first time, try again and find what really makes you comfortable and don’t let others opinion defy you.

I’m usually comfortable in shorts and loose tops but when days come when I want to feel a little bit sexier, I’ll wear a little polka dotted tube top, a midi skirt and some black wedges… I’ll even throw on a bohemian hat for a little familiarity! And if people don’t get it, it’s ok, sometimes people have tiny brains. 😉

Hope that inspires the hell out of you!

From one tomboy to another,

Issa

A special thanks to Let’s Stylize for my top (and others which will be featured on the blog)!

Sock Game: On with Go Rage (+ Giveaway)

Happy weekend everyone! Posting the outfit shots I wore during the Cebu In The Bag event I participated in a couple of weeks ago.

See posts here and here

To be honest, I was really nervous during the days leading up to the biggest event I have ever participated in as a blogger. I was very concerned as to how I would present myself to my readers (that’s you guys- hiiii!) while being comfortable enough selling my items while at least trying to be “weather appropriate”. The bi-polar season has finally begun!

Since it was a 3 day event, I decided to be as versatile as I can in a span of a few days. And since the party kicked off on a Friday Flyday, I chose to show off a more playful and not to mention, colorful side of me (that is rarely caught on cam)!

Halter top: Forever21| Shorts: Department Store find| Sneakers: Converse

One particular item of clothing that was quite hard for me to incorporate (but was totally worth it!) were my Go Rage socks that I snagged at the #HyperCebu event.

More and more often, I am finding myself surrounded with men of all ages sporting uniquely printed and colored socks. And although it is a trend that is becoming more popular among guys, I felt like I had to give a woman’s’ take on it and at least give it a try! Luckily, Go Rage has a wide, unique and playful variety of tie dyed socks that any gender can easily fall in love with- my weapon of choice? Piña Colada.

Now for the part that you’ve all been waiting for! I’ll be giving away a pair of socks of your choice from the Go Rage collection and all you have to do is:

[Photodiary] #CebuInTheBag Days 2 & 3

Happy Monday everyone!

I wasn’t able to update everyone on Saturday and Sunday… I hope that doesn’t make me a bad blogger!

First of all, before I entertain you with a visual fiesta of what went on during days 2 and 3 of Cebu In The Bag, I want to give a biiig thank you to those who went all the way to The Outlets at Pueblo Verde to support the local fashion bloggers and the Manila bloggers as well. I started this blog out of my frustrations in college and it’s been about 3 years since then and I can’t believe that I am able to do things such as a meet and greet! The best part about all of this is really getting to meet you guys at last!!

So here are some of my photos and photos that I was able to pick up off social media accounts. Will update when I have more!

Day 3

Didn’t get to take that many pictures during the last day because I was busy getting my shopping on and talking to the other vendors and bloggers. But don’t worry! I’ll be posting my outfit photos this week and I’ll go more in depth about my experience. 🙂 I just needed a proper entry to photo dump hence this post!

I’m blogging in between work and if my mom finds out, I’m dead meat. So bye… for now!

Love you all,

Hi Everyone! I just got home from Day 1 out of 3 of the Cebu In The Bag: Celebrity + Blogger Food and Fashion Bazaar at The Outlets in Pueblo Verde in Mactan.

1. I was too shy to ask for pictures

2. I was busy eating and

3. I was pre-occupied with the loom bands I was playing with.

BUT here are a few of the pictures I did manage to take and a little more information if you’re hoping to visit us tomorrow!

The Short Suit

I’ve been really into matching sets lately just because it saves me the hassle of having to decide what to wear when I have no time at all. I wore my first “short suit” here and I’m fairly enjoying been able to wear it as a set or as separate pieces.

My only challenge when it comes to wearing matching pieces is how to wear them again without it being too noticeable. For my previous outfit I mix it up by playing around with cover ups and that usually does the trick but with this particular piece, I can predict a challenge so I’ll have to get back to you and let you know how it goes.

I’m guessing that I can play around with my other key pieces like my inner top, shoes and accessories… but that’s for another blog post 😉

My absolute favorite pieces in this look are my over sized round sun glasses that I got from Ziya and my hand-me-down Burberry tote (similar herethat I recently got from my mom. It’s a bit worn out but I appreciate the gesture, nonetheless.

I’ll be honest, I’ve never really had a thing for bags. I’ve never gotten myself a bag that I’ve really liked so I’ve kind of given up when it comes to that department. My mom however LOVES bags (not as much as she loves me… on most days) and I solely depend on her and her hand me downs. I am never disappointed though because she has an awesome collection and I’m always glad to take what she doesn’t want anymore. It’s true, one woman’s trash is another woman’s treasure! Next time, I hope she gives me some of her watches. Mehehehe!

Short suit: Citiwear| Chiffon blouse: Forever21

Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about starting my own online ready to wear business which will feature my designs. It’s still in the works but once I’ve finally got everything together, you will definitely be seeing it here!

In the mean time while I’m still being fickle minded, this June 13- 15, 2014 you can buy my pre-loved items at The Outlets at Pueblo Verde! The Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry will be hosting Cebu in the Bag: The Island Madness Sale featuring the Philippines top bloggers: Kryz Uy, Camille Co, Lissa Kahayon and David Guison. This project aims to unite all industries to bolster tourism and propel Cebu as a shopping destination in Asia. And why not? Cebu is known for so many beautiful things in terms of fashion, furniture, art and plus we live on such a beautiful island which will not disappoint.

It’s been such a blessed year for us fashion bloggers to come out and have an outlet to reach out to our readers. I am very grateful for the opportunity and I’m looking forward to meeting new friends, get some badly needed closet space and meet our countries top fashion bloggers! Here are some of the looks that I will be selling:

If you want to see more items that I will be selling on these days, please like my facebook pageI’ll be updating from time to time and showcasing more of the items that’ll be up for grabs!

Til then,

Issa <3
